Nano Brows

  • Nano Brow Pre-Care:

    24 Hours Before:

    • No alcoholic beverages

    • No pain relievers (aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, etc)

    The Day Of:

No caffeine until after your appointment.

    Post-Care:

    Days 1-7

    (Repeat 2x daily)

     Step one: Rinse

Rinse am & pm to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils, and dead skin. (Don't worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!) With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently rinse the eyebrows with water in a smooth motion for 30 seconds.  DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.

    Step two: dry

To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue or dry wash cloth.

    Step three: Moisturize

Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. NEVER put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.

    Important Reminders

    • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color.

    • No facials, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

    • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week.

    • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure.  Wear a hat when outdoors.

    • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.

    • DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.

    • Limit your showers to 5-8 minutes so that you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face should only be getting wet only at the end of the shower.  Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.

NEVER use products with active ingredients like Hydroxy acids (salicylic, glycolic, lactic, etc.) or Retinols directly on the brows.  Maintain a 1 inch distance away from the perimeter of the brow when using these products on the face.

  • Since this technique uses 1 singular needle, it is minimally invasive. This means that there is barely any bleeding or trauma that's caused to the skin. The feeling is often described as a "light scratch”. The majority of our clients rate the pain level at a 1-3 out of 10.

  • Short answer: yes and no.

Primary numbing alters the texture of the skin due to the product absorption. This can cause the needle to create excess trauma to the skin. Because of this, we do not use primary numbing for the first pass to create the least amount of trauma possible. During the second and third passes, we use secondary numbing to keep the client comfortable and pain-free throughout the rest of the procedure.

  • Yes! Depending on your previous permanent makeup saturation, we may need to start fresh by removing the previous pigment. If the previous pigment has faded enough, we may be able to work over them. Our number 1 goal is to create NATURAL looking healed results for each client. If your previous permanent makeup is very saturated (looks like a tattoo instead of flesh toned skin) or if the pigment has turned blue/gray or any other funky color, it is not possible to create a natural looking result. In those cases, we highly recommend magnetic tattoo removal to pull the pigment out of the skin so we can start fresh!

If you have previous PMU and need some guidance on what your next step should be, email us a picture of your brows to jordan@giacmicro.com and one of the artists will recommend the best plan for you!

Lip Blush

  • LIP BLUSH PRE-CARE:

-You cannot be pregnant or breast feeding.

-Lightly exfoliate your lips three days prior to your appointment.

-No caffeine 24 hours prior to your appointment.

-No blood thinners 24 hours prior to your appointment (vitamin e, fish oil, niacin, ibuprofen, aspirin, prescription blood thinners)

-No alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment.

-No tanning one week prior to your appointment.

-No antibiotics four weeks prior to your appointment.

    LIP BLUSH POST-CARE:

    DAYS 1 & 2:

Following the procedure, your lips will most likely be swollen. No worries, this is normal!

For the first few hours, frequently wipe away any lymph fluid that appears from your lips. After the first few hours, please apply the provided balm at least three times a day to avoid letting your lips dry out.

When drinking, please use a straw to avoid any protentional contamination to your healing lips. When eating, be sure to avoid oily, spicy, and heavily salted foods. Also, after each meal, gently rinse and clean your lips with water, then dry them with a clean paper towel, and finally re-apply the balm.

    THE FOLLOWING 3-6 DAYS:

At this stage in the healing process, your lips will begin to feel dry and start peeling. DO NOT pick your lips, instead, let the flaking happen naturally.

You can help mitigate the appearance of dryness by consistently hydrating your lips with the provided balm.

    WEEK 2:

Your lips are no longer peeling, the color is lighter, and you can resume your normal routine! Your lips will continue to fully heal for up to 6 weeks.

Each week more color will surface; however, it’s still important to keep the lips hydrated to ensure the best healed result. It’s normal for lips to heal slightly patchy after the initial session. The color and shape will be perfected at the 6-8 week follow up session.

    WHAT TO AVOID:

    ·         Spicy foods, hot liquids, alcohol

    ·         Excessive sweating

    ·         Direct sun exposure

    ·         Rubbing/picking the lips

    ·         No makeup (besides balm) on the lips until fully healed (-10 days)

    ·         Facial treatments

    ·         Abrasive materials such as towels

    ·         Swimming, salt water, direct water spray on the lips

Acyclovir is to be taken as directed prior, during, and after your cosmetic service. The prescription will be filled to provide enough medication for your first and second session.

Medication is to be taken starting the day before your procedure- one in the morning and one in the evening for a total of five days.

The same protocol should be followed for the second session.

  • Yes! Lip filler and lip blush are friends and work beautifully together! However, you will need to wait 4 weeks before or after getting lip filler to get lip blushing.

  • Typically, lip blushing can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years. It varies due to skin type, lifestyle, and how well you care for them post-procedure. Annual touchups are recommended to keep color fresh. The pigment can be affected by using anti-aging, exfoliating, or acne skin care products around the area, unprotected UV exposure, and improper aftercare.

  • The appointment typically takes about 2 hours from start to finish. It includes a consultation, mapping, numbing, color choice, and tattooing. We use a topical numbing cream to pre-numb the area, then continue to apply a numbing product throughout the procedure to keep you comfortable and numb!

  • Yes! We will work together to find the perfect shade for your natural lips and skin tone. Shades can be fully customized. Keep in mind that lip blush is typically a two-step process to see the desired color results.

  • The area may be slightly swollen for a day or two, which is typical for the lip area.

They will be vibrant for the first three days and begin settling in, softening, and turning very natural.

After healing, the color will be softer and lighten up anywhere from 30-50%. Over time, the color will continue to lighten and fade.

An aftercare kit will be provided with everything you need and instructions to take care of your lips. Healing time is relatively quick, and peeling will start around 3-5 days after.

Be sure to avoid spicy foods, swimming, sauna, direct sunlight, and any makeup products besides healing balm for the lips.

  • We will call a prescription in for an anti-viral medication for preventative measures!

Permanent Eyeliner

  • Pre-Care:

    • Please do not wear any eye makeup to your appointment

    • Contacts should be removed prior to procedure and refrain from wearing them for a minimum of 4 hours after procedure is finished.

    • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Vitamin C or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure.

    • Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to procedure.

    • Do not have eyelash extensions. You must have your eyelash extensions removed one week prior to coming in for your permanent eyeliner appointment.

    Post-Care:

Day 1: You’ll love your new eyeliner!

Your eyeliner color is approximately 30% darker than it will be when it’s healed. It will also appear slightly larger than it will heal in just a few days. This is due to color oxidation as well as a small amount of swelling and it is a normal part of your healing process. You will have no trouble driving home and going about the rest of your day normally. It’s unlikely that anyone will notice you’ve had your eyeliner permanently done except for possibly those you know very well.

Days 2-3: Your color will darken temporarily as the pigment oxidizes and thin scabs will form.

You may wake up slightly puffy but you can remedy this by sleeping on an incline or applying a cool compress. Your eyeliner will feel tight and dry, but not painful.

Days 3-5: Your eyeliner will begin flaking until there is no scabbing left.

You want to allow healing to shed naturally. Once all scabbing has finished flaking, it is common for the color to appear lighter than it will eventually heal. This lighter color is only temporary as your freshly healed skin is hiding the true color underneath. Over the next several weeks your eyeliner color will bloom.

Day 42: At 6 weeks your eyeliner is fully healed.

It’s now okay for you to come back in for your follow up. Any adjustments such as darkening the color or altering the shape can be done at this appointment.

    Eyeliner Aftercare

Day 1-2: Try to keep eyelids as dry as possible.  Do not apply any moisturizers or ointments.

Day 3-7:  Apply ointment twice a day

  • There will be swelling typically for the first 24-48 hours. While the swelling starts going down right away and most people are back to normal by the following morning, plan on 48 hours of staying low key to be safe! The color will appear darker the first week, but will gradually lighten and may possibly scab.

  • The eyeliner or lash line procedure is more psychologically scary to most clients than anything else. There is slight discomfort and is relative to different levels of sensitivity. A topical lidocaine is applied to the eyelids for numbing prior, and anesthetic is applied during the procedure. Every effort is made to ensure comfort for the duration of the procedure.
