The MOXI Treatment
-
MOXI is a gentle fractionated laser designed to effectively treat the visible signs of aging and produce evenly toned, radiant skin in as little as a single treatment—although 2-4 are recommended.
It’s ideal for all patients of all skin types who are just beginning their skin care journey or those looking for a light resurfacing option that can be performed anytime of year.
Gentle Yet Effective
MOXI is a non-ablative 1927nm wavelength that targets water within cells to work with the body’s natural healing processes for a gentle treatment with little-to-no downtime.
Non-Ablative Laser Energy
MOXI comfortably delivers non-ablative laser energy to correct the initial signs of sun damage and aging—no matter the season or skin type—for a glowing and clear complexion.
-
Signs of Aging
MOXI can easily be integrated into patients existing skincare regimens to reduce existing, but minor, skin concerns or delay the appearance of aging skin.
Texture
MOXI creates micro-coagulation zones, inducing the body's natural wound-healing process to promote collagen production in the treatment area and reduce areas of rough or uneven texture.
Uneven Skin Tone
MOXI's gentle approach promotes vibrant, refreshed-looking skin for patients struggling with uneven skin tone.
Pigmentation & Sun Damage
Precisely tunable in the superficial layers of the epidermis and dermis, MOXI offers a comfortable and efficacious treatment for superficial sun damage.
-
Can MOXI treat darker skin types?
The 1927nm laser within the MOXI handpiece targets water, which means it can treat all skin types, year-round.
How many MOXI treatments will I need?
This will depend on your treatment goals and the level of correction desired. Most patients receive 3 to 4 corrective MOXI treatments, then often elect for regular maintenance treatments. Talk to your practitioner about your goals, and they can advise you on the best treatment regimen.
How long does it take to see results after a MOXI treatment?
Results will vary depending on your treatment goals and the plan you set with your provider. The day following your treatment, your skin may appear red, and, depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots called MENDs where the laser was applied. As the micro zones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mends will slough off, revealing renewed skin beneath.
Is MOXI painful?
MOXI is a gentle and comfortable laser treatment that most patients find very tolerable. The numbing cream applied to the treatment area before the procedure minimizes discomfort.

What To Do Before Your Treatment:
Use sunscreen (mineral sunscreen is best) and physical sun protection.
Avoid extended sun exposure, i.e. beach, travel to sunny locations, sunbathing, sports outdoors for two weeks prior to treatment.
Refrain from using self tanning products two weeks prior to treatment.
Inform your provider if any physician has ordered Accutane for you in the last 6 months.
Inform your provider of any medical conditions or medications you are taking that might sensitize you to light, affect wound healing or affect coagulation.
Inform your provider if you are awaiting the results of a skin cancer screening, have skin cancer, or have been diagnosed in the past.
Inform your provider if you have a history of melasma on the face
What To Expect & What You Should Do:
Feeling of Warmth
What to Expect: The treated area may be warm for 1-2 hours after the treatment. Warmth may continue for 12-24 hours after the treatment.
-What to Do: Cold compresses may provide comfort during this time. Also, a mineral water spray might provide some relief and much needed moisture to the skin.
Redness (Erythema)
-What to Expect: Redness is normal and expected. Redness can persist for up to 7 days depending on the intensity of treatment.
-What to Do: Use gentle cleansers and keep your skin moisturized and out of the sun which will allow your skin time to heal and limit further stress on your skin.
MENDs
-What to Expect: MENDs (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) will appear on the 2nd or 3rd day after treatment as tiny dark spots and bronzed appearance to the treated skin.
-What to Do: MENDs are part of the healing process where treated tissue is working its way out of your body as new fresh skin is regenerated. During this time, your skin will be very dry and feel like sandpaper before flaking and peeling off. Keep your skin well moisturized to support the healing process. Do not pick at your skin.
Possible Side Effects:
What to Expect: Swelling can occur and is typically expected immediately after treatment.
-What to Do: Use of a cold compress will help to relieve the swelling. To avoid further swelling, you may choose to sleep in more upright position the first 2-3 nights after the treatment. The first morning post treatment is when swelling is more prevalent, especially under the eyes. Swelling may last 2-4 days.
After Your Treatment:
These pre- & post-care instructions are intended to guide you through the treatment process and get you on your way to gorgeous!
1: CLEANSING:
Cleanse the skin two times a day with plain, lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser, beginning the morning after treatment. Use your hands and gentle patting motions. DO NOT rub, scrub, use an exfoliant or skin care brush such as a Clarisonic on the treated area.
2: MOISTURIZER:
Moisturizer should be applied generously with clean hands over treated area and reapplied whenever your skin feels dry. DO NOT apply any other products that were not instructed by your doctor – e.g. essential oils, coconut oil, etc.
3: SUNSCREEN:
Sunscreen is a MUST and should be used daily beginning the day after treatment and used consistently for up to 3 months post procedure. Use a physical sunscreen with broadband UVA and UVB protection and a SPF of 30. Ensure to reapply during sun exposure.

-
Is there any downtime with BBL® HERO?
The BBL® HERO custom facial requires no downtime, so you can get back to your daily routine after your treatment.
Can tanned skin be treated?
An active tan from the sun or tanning beds is not appropriate for treating with BBL. Tanned skin has a lot of pigment or melanin that may also absorb the BBL light energy. It is recommended that a person does not have sun exposure in the area to be treated for a period of 3 weeks prior to treatment with BBL. Self tanners must be faded from the skin for at least a week to 10 days prior to treatment. Discuss with your clinician the possibility of tanning during your series so that a safe regimen can be created.
What results can I expect?
An improvement in your complexion becomes visible after just one visit, and there’s NO downtime. Patients are able to wear makeup, wash their face and there’s NO peeling after.
The main thing to plan for is some mild discoloration of any brown spots being treated, and to make sure that you don’t have any outdoor activities planned for two weeks after a treatment.
Our Laser Esthetician recommends 1-3 initial treatment sessions.
Results should become visible in 2-4 weeks after BBL HERO sessions

-
Can I treat blonde or white hair?
Unfortunately, similar to other devices on the market, light blonde or white hair cannot be effectively addressed by Forever Bare BBL.

Because of the nature and lifecycle of a hair follicle, typically a series of 3-6 treatments are recommended for best results.

Before Laser Hair Reduction Treatment:
Avoid use of Accutane for 6-9 months prior to laser hair reduction treatment.
Avoid waxing, plucking, or depilatories for a minimum of 4 weeks.
Wait at least 2 weeks for laser hair removal treatment if you have had a chemical peel or injections (Restylane, Botox, collagen) in the area to be treated.
Stop use of exfoliants, such as Renova and Glycolic Acid, on an area to be treated 1 week prior to laser hair reduction treatment.
Shave area before each laser hair reduction treatment.
-The skin should be clean, with no lotion, make-up, deodorant, perfume, or sunscreen before laser hair reduction treatment.
After Laser Hair Reduction Treatment:
You may have slight redness and/or localized swelling for a few minutes up to 48 hours. Apply aloe vera or hydrocortisone cream if needed.

Forever Clear

Break Free From Acne with Forever Clear BBL
Are you tired of complicated skincare routines and harsh acne meds that promise but barely deliver? Time to simplify your routine and achieve the clear skin you’ve been longing for with Forever Clear BBL, performed by BBL® HERO™. This clear skin treatment uses the power of BroadBand Light® to zap stubborn acne without the side effects.
-
BBL HERO technology addresses imperfections on the surface of the skin, as well as deep-rooted pigmentation issues.
During a Forever Clear BBL treatment, patients feel minimal to no discomfort as the provider gently glides the BBL HERO handpiece across the skin. This process involves 3 total passes of the device over the treatment area.
The first pass uses blue light to eliminate acne-causing bacteria deep within the skin’s pores.
The second pass uses yellow light to reduce inflammation and acne-associated redness while preventing new breakouts.
To maximize patients’ results, the skin receives a third pass using infra-red light in rapid, gentle pulses to initiate the body’s natural healing process, reduce the appearance of existing scars, and enhance the benefits of the first two steps.
A sapphire at the tip of the BBL HERO applicator keeps the skin cool and comfortable throughout the treatment. Afterward, most patients will feel warm for 30 to 60 minutes.
-
How many Forever Clear treatments do I need?
The number of Forever Clear treatments needed will depend on the severity of your active acne and scarring. Most patients require a series of 4 to 6 sessions to start, with quarterly or semi-annual visits after that.
Is Forever Clear appropriate for teens?
Absolutely. Teens as young as 16 can receive Forever Clear treatments with a signed parental consent form.
